WHAT WE GROW

The changing seasons bring forth a wide variety of produce, including:

  • Anna Apples, crisp and tart, ready to be harvested as winter approaches

  • Apricots, ripening in the summer sun to offer a taste of indulgence

  • Artichokes, with their tender hearts and earthy flavor

  • Avocados, creamy and versatile, perfect for salads, spreads, and more

  • Cherimoyas, with their creamy texture and delicate, sweet flavor, reminiscent of a blend of banana, pineapple, and strawberry

  • Figs, delicate and flavorful, signaling the arrival of autumn

  • Guavas, fragrant and exotic, adding a tropical twist to dishes

  • Lavender, with its calming aroma and versatile culinary uses

  • Lemons, bright and zesty, adding a burst of citrus to both savory and sweet dishes

  • Manzanilla olives, plump and briny, perfect for curing and snacking

  • Mint, refreshing and aromatic, perfect for teas and desserts

  • Mulberries, sweet and slightly tangy, perfect for making jams and desserts

  • Oranges, vibrant and juicy, perfect for refreshing drinks

  • Passion fruits, celebrated for its unique flavor and diverse culinary uses

  • Pineapple guavas, with its tropical aroma and tangy sweetness

  • Pomegranates, bursting with juicy seeds and a vibrant, tangy flavor

  • Sapotes, creamy and luscious, offering a taste of tropical indulgence

  • Sugarcane, yielding the essence of sweetness

These seasonal offerings are a testament to the rhythm of nature and the abundance it provides.

Among the flowers grown on the farm are:

  • Allen Chickering sage, with its fragrant leaves and pale lavender flowers, attracting pollinators and adding a subtle scent to the air

  • Daisy, with their cheerful white petals and sunny yellow centers, brightening up any corner of the farm

  • Dalias, known for their wide array of colors and intricate petal arrangements, bringing elegance and variety to the farm's floral display

  • Lupins, with their various hues of purple, blue, pink, and white, adding a striking vertical element to the farm's landscape and attracting bees and butterflies with their nectar-rich blooms.

  • Narrowleaf Native Milkweeds, with its slender green leaves and clusters of small, intricate flowers, serving as a vital host plant for monarch butterflies and contributing to the ecological balance of the farm.

  • White sage, prized for its silvery foliage and delicate white flowers, known for its aromatic properties and ceremonial uses

These flowers support local ecosystems by providing food and habitat for pollinators such as bees and butterflies. The diverse array of flowers contributes to the farm's overall biodiversity and sustainability.

Over 500 coffee trees were planted

during a Community Planting Day in May 2019.

Due to the extreme weather events

that have delayed the crop

over the past five years,

the first harvest is estimated

to take place in Spring 2025.
